•Westmuir High School is a SEBN secondary school based in the NE of Glasgow providing education for 48 young people from Glasgow and the surrounding areas.
•The school was inspected in January 2016 by HMIE and a subsequent report was produced in June 2016 with four main points for action
•Increase expectations of young people’s attendance, behaviour and engagement with their learning
•Develop the curriculum in line with national expectations so that young people’s entitlements are fully met
•Ensure that learning experiences are relevant, motivating and progressive
•Increase individualised planning with a focus on improving outcomes for young people
After working in partnership with HMIE, Westmuir High was signed off in October 2018 as having made sufficient changes to take the school forward in a successful manner.
